    Job Description:

    Provides end-to-end, full-lifecycle endpoint support for IT assets, including troubleshooting, imaging, configuration, hardware/software installation, upgrades, and maintenance for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and virtual environments.

    Operates and manages a Unified IT Helpdesk, delivering Tier 0/Tier 1 user support, incident and problem management, service request fulfillment, and performance reporting through Government-provided ITSM tools in alignment with SLA and XLA targets.

    Maintains a centralized patch and configuration repository, ensuring timely updates to operating systems, third-party applications, and firmware, and applies Government-approved baseline images and configurations.

    Provides system administration and operations support across multiple environments (Windows, Linux, UNIX, macOS, Solaris, AIX, etc.), including installation, patching, backup, recovery, and compliance with DISA STIG and cybersecurity requirements.

    Manages hardware lifecycle activities such as diagnostics, vendor coordination, upgrades, relocations, and technology refresh planning, while updating asset databases and documentation.

    Supports Department Information Officers (DIOs) by tracking and reconciling IT assets, telecom invoices, and cybersecurity records (e.g., DADMS, CWF CfM, ESS, A&A status), and providing detailed reporting and compliance documentation.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

    Six (6) years of professional experience in Unix and/or Linux system administration of networks and software systems.

    Experience in system backup and recovery; basic software management; security management and library management; installation and configuration of hardware; operational systems and COTS software; operating computer systems in different operating environments; and sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software/network trouble shooting and resource allocation.

    Qualified experience in different network protocols including TCP/IP and major network security tools such as: firewalls, knowledge of computing and networking vulnerabilities, attach methods and latest detection methods.

    This position is required to be designated as IAT III level with a T5.
