Position Overview

The Connexa Search Group is partnering with a well-established company searching for a Senior Tax Associate to join their team. This role supports a corporate tax function within a large, multi-entity organization, with an emphasis on state and local tax matters. The position works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate compliance, thoughtful analysis, and continuous improvement across tax processes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Support preparation, review, and coordination of state and local tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions related to state and local income and franchise taxes
• Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and guidance, summarizing impacts to the organization
• Conduct tax research and provide practical recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with other tax, accounting, and finance teams to ensure consistency and alignment
• Contribute to improving workflows, documentation, and automation within the tax function
• Maintain organized records and support audit or information requests as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; professional certification a plus
• 1+ years of relevant income tax experience
• Working knowledge of multistate corporate income and franchise tax concepts
• Experience using tax compliance and research tools; exposure to ERP systems and data tools preferred
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
