    Senior Tax Manager

    We’re hiring for a Senior Tax Manager to join a well-established and growing Public Accounting Firm in Amherst, NY! This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys reviewing complex tax work, supporting a diverse client base, and partnering closely with firm leadership in a professional, fast-paced environment.

    With a salary range of $130,000–$150,000/year plus bonuses, this full-time, on-site Senior Tax Manager role offers long-term stability, career growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting clients, mentoring staff, and ensuring exceptional quality across all tax engagements.

    This is an in-person position in Amherst, NY, offering exposure to diverse industries and complex tax structures while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review complex tax returns, including 990s, 1041s, trusts, estates, partnerships, and S-corporations
    • Review related individual tax returns associated with partnerships and other entities
    • Collaborate closely with leadership to manage client engagements and ensure timely, accurate deliverables
    • Serve as a trusted resource for clients, providing guidance, planning, and clear communication
    • Mentor and support junior tax staff through review notes, training, and day-to-day guidance
    • Assist with workflow management to help balance deadlines and workloads throughout the year
    • Participate in tax planning, research, and strategic initiatives to enhance client service
    • Support a professional, collaborative, and team-focused culture - fun team activities included!

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
    • Strong experience reviewing individuals, not-for-profits, trusts, estates, partnerships, and S-corp returns
    • Deep knowledge of individual tax returns connected to business entities (K-1s)
    • Strong technical expertise and the ability to research, problem-solve, and provide sound tax guidance
    • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • CPA required
