    Location: Morristown, TN

    Reports To: Vice President Sales and Marketing

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Position Summary

    The Senior Technical Services Representative (color concentrates, polymer processing/technical service field expert) provides strategic field support as a product and industry expert, leading technical interactions with major accounts. This role drives product advancements by proactively identifying client needs and designing innovative solutions. The Representative enhances industry leadership by collaborating with the Product Development team and representing company at industry events.

    Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

    • Provides technical support to customers and sales team by responding to inquiries on product information and capabilities
    • Responsible for solving technical problems by devising solutions to implement at customer locations based on previous customer feedback or requests
    • Responds to customer complaints, isolates problems and reports results to Product Development team
    • Maintains company’s industry presence by representing company at industry conferences & trade shows. Conducts/develops customer presentations, web seminars, publications, articles, etc.
    • Produces call reports, monthly summaries of active projects, updates as required and distributes

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    No direct supervisory responsibility but provides functional or technical guidance to other staff within a work group or unit. May be required to provide some advice on policies and procedures to staff.

    Required Skills/Abilities

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
    • Excellent facility with computer information systems and windows-based PC software applications.

    Education and Experience

    • A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, polymer science, or a related technical field is required; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in polymer processing or technical services, including at least 3 years leading major accounts or strategic technical initiatives in a polymer-related industry.
    • Good working knowledge of color concentrates, plastics compounding, and processing technologies required; experience with CRM systems or industry thought leadership (e.g., publications, presentations) is highly desirable.
