We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Writer to join our dynamic team supporting a federal client. This position will prepare and/or maintain documentation pertaining to programming, systems operation and user documentation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Translate business specifications into user documentation.
• Plan, write, and maintain systems documentation.
• Support system user documentation efforts, including development of change notices, online help screens and generation of interactive computer-based training modules.
• Write, edit, proofread, and edit a variety of documents.
• Plan and prepare documents for dissemination.
• Manage the documentation library.
Required Skills
Required Experience
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience in Information Technology or in a related area.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Information Technology Service Management.
• Experience directing and leading the work of others.
• Experience performing a variety of complicated tasks.
• Experience in technical writing of software/systems documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience utilizing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Excellent customer service skills.
Self-directing. Empathy for the needs of patients.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate through spoken and written English.
Treats patients and others with courtesy and respect, presenting a positive public image.
