General Placement Service is assisting a very respected national insurance carrier in hiring a Senior Underwriter to manage and grow a profitable portfolio of general casualty business. This position requires strong underwriting discipline, relationship management, and market engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and underwrite general casualty accounts in line with company guidelines.

Recommend coverage structure and pricing based on risk analysis.

Prepare and issue quotes, binders, and supporting documentation.

Maintain organized, compliant underwriting files.

Supervise and delegate tasks to account support staff.

Build and maintain broker relationships through meetings and industry events.

Collaborate with legal on manuscript policy wording.

Attend training and educational seminars as needed.

Qualifications:

5–7 years of general casualty underwriting experience.

CPCU designation.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
