    A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAYROLL SPECIALIST

    • You’re responsible for keeping your clients happy! You will be the main point-of-contact for your assigned group of mid-to-large-sized clients.

    • You’ll communicate regularly with your clients, via phone and email, to assist with their payroll processing needs and answer their payroll-related questions.

    • In many cases, you’ll enter client payroll data into Sentric’s software based on payroll data they have called in, faxed or emailed to you, verifying accuracy and compliance. Other clients may enter their own data directly into the software, so for those you’ll just need to make sure everything is accurate, in balance and no issues occur.

    • When your clients need payroll adjustments or manual checks issued for their employees, you’ll take care of it!

    • You’ll excel at time management, balancing your daily/weekly client processing schedule with your day-to-day projects and workload, making sure all deadlines and requirements are met. When you’re not busy, you’ll offer some help to others on your team, since your overall success is based on the success of your entire department as a whole.

    • When issues arise, you’ll help your clients by researching and resolving them quickly and efficiently.

    • You’ll be responsible for creating, reconciling and transmitting export files to 3rd parties on behalf of your clients, like 401(k) files, bank reconciliation files, general ledgers, garnishments and other payroll-related data.

    • Because Sentric is SSAE18 compliant, you’ll adhere to the guidelines and procedures associated with your daily tasks in order to maintain the integrity of our audited controls and documents.

    • You’ll utilize Salesforce CRM for the management of client data, cases and workflows.

    • You’re committed to staying on top of your payroll education. If you’re not already certified in payroll through the American Payroll Association, we’ll help you get certified, and we’ll provide you with resources and tools to maintain your certification and keep up-to-date on payroll compliance laws and regulations.

    • Your clients and coworkers will love working with you because you’re dedicated to maintaining positive relationships that embody Sentric’s culture. YOU’RE QUALIFIED AND RIGHT FOR THE JOB IF:

    • You have 3-5 years payroll experience.

    • You’re experienced working with payroll processing software, And although not required, we’d love it if you have experience using MPay Payentry software specifically.

    • You’re helpful, motivated, and enthusiastic.

    • You’re willing to work hard, learn and grow with us in a fast-paced environment.

    • You have top-notch customer service, technical, math skills and problem solving skills that you are ready to use to hit the ground running for your clients.

    • You are interested in the idea of working on the in-depth "back-end" of payroll processing and think it would be awesome to be the go-to person that other companies' payroll managers call when THEY need help!

    • You’re a people person. You’ll spend a lot of time talking to clients, so it’s important that you have a smile they can hear through the phone.

    • Troubleshooting issues and problem-solving are your forte.

    • Your attention to detail is top-notch!

    • You know how to prioritize tasks and stay organized.

    • You’re proficient in Microsoft (preferably Microsoft 365) Word, Excel, and other standard computer programs.

    • You have a strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn and utilize new software programs.

    • You are able to communicate technical and payroll-related information effectively, accurately and confidently.

    • Your written and verbal communication are always clear, pleasant, grammatically correct and professional.
