You will share your passion during daytime and evening walking or bus tours to show guests all this city has to offer through volunteering and sightseeing. You will be escorting our tour groups to volunteer experiences and tours that incorporate other step-on guides who are experts in their location or field. Your primary role is to coordinate with these other guides, nonprofits, attractions, and experiences and keep the group on schedule and where they need to be, addressing any needs or questions guests have. You may be leading small groups, families, or even larger groups. Your goal is to create a fun and memorable experience for everyone on the tour and achieve the desired goals of a SerVacation. That is to connect people to the city they are visiting, their fellow guests, and the charities where we serve, in a way that is transformational. This position is a great side gig for retirees and students who have a flexible schedule. It is fun, different every day, and there are always new people to meet. Responsibilities: • Welcome and Register Guests making them feel welcome and informed • Facilitate volunteer service experiences in partnership with non-profit partners • Coordinate with point people at restaurants, attractions, and tours on the itinerary that day • Lead the tour, introducing step-on-guides and transitioning to different locations • Event planning and logistics • Set the pace of the tour and stay on schedule Qualifications: • Strong public speaker, positive and enthusiastic • Punctual with good time management skills • Ability to think on your feet, you thrive in ever-changing environments, and excel under pressure • Locational awareness, good with Google Maps, knowing where you are at all times • Great interpersonal and organizational skills are also necessary for everything including collaborating with other guides, group sales personnel, managing tour logistics, and engaging with guests like homeschool, military, and faith-based families etc • Enjoys volunteer service and working with charities and other non-profits • Previous Tour Guide experience is a plus but not necessary • Great customer service skills to promote repeat business and gather feedback Compensation: $10-$25 hourly
