The Server System Administrator will be responsible for configuring and supporting physical and virtual Windows servers and managing routine server and storage capacity and performance metrics. Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of best practices for server, desktop/laptop, printer, and remote user support activities. Utilize scripting solutions to automate routine server and desktop administration and configuration tasks.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Windows server administration for various client servers on premise, in the cloud, and hybrid
• Diagnose hardware and software system problems and initiate corrective actions when needed
• Effectively manage incoming customer requests and incident tickets promptly
• Execute capacity and performance data collection, monitoring, and reporting when needed
• Assist IT management in developing short and long-range plans regarding the use of computing resources
• Assist with the evaluation of new computing technologies and provide recommendations
• Assist with peer and customer training in the administration and use of hardware and software tools
• Create and maintain SOPS for the role function and cross-train with the IT team

Required Skills:

• US Citizen
• Five (5) years experience Microsoft Windows Server administration
• Extensive sysadmin knowledge of servers, server software, and storage environments
• Current working knowledge of IIS, Active Directory, group policies, file and print services
• Current working knowledge of Azure, Hyper-V, Veeam, and DAAS environments
• Experience adding, configuring, and managing server storage
• Knowledge of backup strategies and tools for environments
• Experience with scripting and automating system administration processes using poweshell
• Ability to think logically and act decisively in critical situations
• Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities
• Knowledge of client/server network protocols
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex computer/information systems information into an organized and presentable manner
