Client (based in Stamford, CT) is seeking a "Principal Platform Engineer", below is a synopsis:

The 2025 RemUS Infra EOL Remediation program aims to address the end-of-life status of Windows, RHEL, and VMWare infrastructure by upgrading 86 devices across UAT, Dev, and Prod environments to meet global service and support standards.

The project also includes critical tasks such as migrating Sybase to SQL, upgrading Thin Clients, and enhancing Hosting infrastructures.

The position is for a principal platform engineer with specialized expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Unix/Linux, VMWare, DNS, Infoblox, Messaging, Databases, and Finance/Banking Applications, along with a focus on security and vulnerabilities.

Previous experience in financial companies with SME levels in RHEL, Linux, Windows and MSSQL database for both on prem and cloud is preferred.

Automation skills are highly desirable.

Additional desired skills include proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, Python, Jenkins, GITLab/Hub, automation pipelines, and software development.
