SERVER ASSISTANT

Honorable Mention is an elevated sports bar delivering a refined yet approachable game-day experience, that will be opening late February/early March 2026. Our menu features thoughtfully crafted small-plate shareables alongside bold, show-stopping entrées meant to be enjoyed together. Barback / Food Runner / Busser Hybrid)

Role Summary Server Assistants are the backbone of service flow, ensuring tables turn efficiently, food arrives hot, and the bar stays stocked and ready.

Key Responsibilities

Run food quickly and accurately from the kitchen

Assist bartenders as a barback (ice, glassware, restocking)

Clear, reset, and maintain tables

Support servers with refills, pre-bussing, and guest needs

Keep service stations stocked and organized

Assist expo and kitchen during peak service times

Maintain cleanliness in guest and service areas

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to identify menu items and table numbers

Strong sense of urgency and teamwork

Physical stamina for fast-paced service

Clear communication with FOH and BOH

Willingness to step into multiple support roles as needed
