As a Server Assistant at Steelbach, you're the backbone of every great dining experience — the reason tables are ready, glasses are full, and guests feel taken care of from the moment they sit down to the moment they leave. You'll move with purpose through our dining room, keeping things running seamlessly so our guests never miss a beat. From setting the perfect table to sweeping the floor between rushes, every task you take on is a quiet act of hospitality. What You'll Do
Deliver genuine hospitality to and establish emotional connections with our guests.
- Contribute to the overall teamwork and success of the restaurant.
- Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
- Ensure interior and exterior cleanliness of restaurant.
- Set and reset tables perfectly for guests a timely manner.
- Sweep floors throughout entire restaurant.
- Carry dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware to the dish area for cleaning.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and alert a manager immediately.
- Communicate with managers and hosts regarding table availability and key table updates.
- Maintain high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Perform all opening, running, and closing duties accurately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
- High school diploma of GED.
- Valid Food Handler Certification.
- Restaurant industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Remain standing for extended periods of time.
- Bending, squatting, and lifting up to 20 lbs. for short distances.
- Ability to work with varying noise levels.
