Base Camp Bar & Grill is hiring servers for the summer season in Snowmass. We’re looking for friendly, fast-moving team members who can handle a busy section, connect with guests, and keep service smooth from the first greet to the final check.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys high-energy restaurant service, knows how to stay organized under pressure, and takes pride in creating a great guest experience without needing to be micromanaged.
Position Overview
As a Server at Base Camp, you’ll be responsible for delivering efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service in your assigned section. You’ll guide guests through the menu, enter orders accurately, communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar, and help create the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.
What You’ll Do
Welcome guests with a positive, approachable attitude and set the tone for a great dining experience.
Provide attentive service throughout the meal, anticipating guest needs and responding quickly to requests.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS.
Know the menu, specials, promotions, and basic beverage offerings well enough to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
Use thoughtful upselling and suggestive selling to improve the guest experience and increase sales.
Follow all service steps, food allergy procedures, and special dietary restriction protocols.
Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when needed.
Process payments accurately and follow all cash-handling and financial transaction policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready section throughout the shift.
Support teammates, run food and drinks, pre-bus tables, reset tables, and help keep service moving.
Follow all health, safety, sanitation, alcohol awareness, and restaurant policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Perform additional duties as needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
What We’re Looking For
Previous serving experience preferred, especially in a high-volume restaurant.
Ability to manage a busy section with multiple tables.
Friendly, confident communication with guests, managers, and teammates.
Strong attention to detail when taking orders, entering items, and handling payments.
Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy service.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Comfort safely carrying food and beverages and using restaurant equipment properly.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight spaces, varying noise levels, and changing temperatures.
Physical ability to stand and walk for an entire shift, carry up to 50 pounds, and move safely through a busy restaurant.
