Responsibilities: • Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities • Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer client queries and provide recommendations • Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests • Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed • Accept correct payment from guests and guarantee the accuracy of the guest check and manner of payment to protect both the client and the business from any transaction mistakes • Greet guests warmly, politely and in a timely manner once seated. Speak to guests with enthusiasm at all times. • Be prepared to answer questions about menu items and food preparation techniques and be prepared to make suggestions about special menu items. Take advantage of opportunities to up-sell additional food and beverage items where appropriate. • Answer questions from patrons about beverages and beverage service. Understand regulatory responsibilities regarding the service of alcoholic beverages. • Understand order-taking systems to be able to clearly, accurately, and quickly covey guest orders to the kitchen • Deliver food and beverage to tables in an efficient manner following appropriate table service techniques. Ensure that food is presented to diners as ordered and according to restaurant quality standards. Qualifications: • Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED) • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members • We prefer some experience working in the food service industry • Previous experience working in food service is preferred • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • Must be eligible to work in the United States of America Compensation: $10 hourly + tips
