    Compensation: $2.33/hour plus points in tip pool Shifts: All Day Shifts (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

    Job Summary: As a Server at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant, you will deliver exceptional service in the restaurant and during special events. You will provide warm, professional, and knowledgeable service, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, polished, and passionate about hospitality, with a strong knowledge of food, wine, and fine dining etiquette. Must have demonstrated experience with wine service and crafted cocktails.

    Essential Functions:

    Provide attentive, high-quality service to all guests in both the restaurant and event settings.

    Take orders accurately, handle food and beverage requests, and use suggestive selling techniques.

    Input orders into the POS system accurately and relay requests to the kitchen and bar.

    Demonstrate knowledge of wine varietals, food pairings, and Goodstone’s menus.

    Maintain service etiquette consistent with Forbes and fine dining standards.

    Set and maintain dining areas, event spaces, and server stations to Goodstone standards.

    Answer guest questions about menus, wine lists, and other Goodstone services.

    Stay informed about the inn’s history, offerings, and local Middleburg attractions.

    Assist in clearing and resetting tables and maintaining immaculate tabletops throughout service.

    Support team members and other departments as needed.

    Perform additional duties as requested, including special guest requests or unexpected needs.

    Preferred Experience:

    High School diploma or equivalent required.

    Minimum 1–2 years of serving experience; fine dining or event service experience preferred.

    Strong knowledge of food, wine, and hospitality service standards.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and poise.

    Positive attitude, dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.

    Job Type: Part-Time. Must be available for a flexible schedule, including mid and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

    Physical Requirements: Must be able to:

    Stand for extended periods

    Walk, climb stairs, reach, and use hands regularly

    Occasionally liftup to 50 pounds

    Communicate clearly with guests and team members.
