The server is responsible for taking customer's food and drink orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks, and sometimes accepting payments, primarily during the PM hours. May perform additional duties, which may include escorting guests to tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables, or operating a cash register. They also check the identification of patrons to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcohol. Responsible for providing the highest quality of service possible to guests in an efficient and courteous manner. Responsibilities: • Establish a full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client inquiries and make recommendations • Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors • Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed • Actively engage in pre-shift and department meetings to get a thorough knowledge of all goods, services, and facility operations • Welcome customers upon arrival and promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests Qualifications: • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality • We prefer some experience working in the food service industry • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills Compensation: $17 hourly
