Job Title: Server

Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our team at The Provincetown Inn and provide excellent customer service in our dining establishment. As a Server, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
- Take accurate food and drink orders using order slips, a point-of-sale system, or by memorization.
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff promptly.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Check in with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Prepare the dining area by setting up tables, utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Process payments efficiently and return change or credit card slips, ensuring verification of orders with customers.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a server, waitstaff, or in a similar role.
- Basic math skills and a good understanding of operating a point-of-sale system.
- Excellent customer service skills and teamwork abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or related field a plus.
