    The Role… A Server is responsible for anticipating the needs of restaurant guests and team members and providing them with everything they will need for complete experience. They are an ambassador for the restaurant. Each guest will be welcomed and acknowledged in a way that aligns with our culture of best-in-class service, while our standards are met and maintained at all times. With a combination of passion for hospitality and the right communication with other

    departments, you have the ability to make the guest’s experience more than memorable. The primary role is to communicate guest food and beverage orders to the kitchen and bar, but the role is also to act as a guide to our guests.

    The person having this position must possess good communication skills, have the ability to resolve conflicts and have a thorough understanding of LINE policies, procedures and expectations.

    Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities

    1. Welcome every guest promptly and set the tone of kindness and attentiveness

    2. Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel

    3. Provide an enjoyable experience by building a connection of care and hospitality that aligns with The LINE’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness

    4. Deliver proactive and consistent hospitality by maintaining a strong understanding of the sequence of service and executing it with every guest interaction

    5. Must possess a full knowledge of menu items, their ingredients and preparation techniques

    6. Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically coordinate guest food and beverage orders

    7. Clear, mark and take ownership of table maintenance. Wipe and reset tables

    8. Anticipate guest needs, including pre-bussing, re-ordering, check delivery and payments and ensure overall guest satisfaction

    9. Follows alcohol awareness procedures and policies

    10. Responsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, receives and correctly handles cash, appropriate receipt and distribution of gratuity

    11. Assist coworkers in any task necessary to ensure a great environment for guests and coworkers

    12. Execute any additional employee duties requested by management

    13. Possess expert knowledge of all food and beverage aspects of the restaurant

    14. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel

    15. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested

    16. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions

    17. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements

    Knowledge, Requirements and Skills

    1. High-School diploma or GED preferred

    2. Two (2) years’ experience in high volume dining and fine dining preferred

    3. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

    4. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language

    5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    6. Ability to multitask

    7. Excellent communication skills

    8. Able to handle a large volume of guest interactions in an efficient and courteous manner

    9. Work well under pressure, requires being a team player

    10. Must have all up to date state required certifications

    Working Conditions/Environment

    1. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

    2. The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 30lbs on a daily basis

    3. The person having this position may have to sit for one (1) hour, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day
