    Role Summary: Under the supervision of the Service Director receives, processes, verifies, and distributes information from both inbound and outbound calls, to include but not limited to inquiries on service status, setting service appointments, and providing general information. Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the company.

    Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Essential job functions do not require exercising independent judgment.

    Principal Accountabilities :

    • Handle all guest inquiries with a focus on 100% guest satisfaction.
    • Project a friendly and helpful demeanor while answering questions and inquiries from guests, and providing general or related vehicle sales information.
    • Gather and track all guest data as directed; accurately enter into BDC database.
    • Work in close proximity with other BDC Representatives and Service Advisors in a team based environment.
    • Facilitate timely follow up on all customers as directed by management and/or procedures.
    • Strictly adhere to all company direction related to the National Do Not Call List and Privacy Acts.
    • Communicate with the dealership management or front-line employees on behalf of our guests.
    • Participate in departmental and dealership meetings; other duties as assigned by management.
    • Maintain a cooperative manner with other employees
    • Any other duties as assigned by management
    • Service cashier duties as a backup to main service cashier.
    • Employee must clock in at the beginning of each shift and clock out at the end of each shift. Any overtime must be approved in writing by the Service Director prior to the accrual of overtime.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • 2+ year in customer service, or a n equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Effective knowledge and use of software applications including Microsoft Office, Excel, and office management practices.
    • A proven ability to work quickly and accurately with numbers and perform standard math computations.
    • Effective understanding and application of negotiation skills and interpersonal communication.
    • Must be adept at both oral and written communication techniques and maintain effective working relationships with a range of audiences, from customers, prospective customers, vendors, owners, other staff members, and the public at large.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing; develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, all members of the Galles team.

    Beneficial Skills and Experience:

    • Previous experience working in car dealership settings.
    • Bilingual, English/Spanish.

    Physical and Mental Challenges:

    • Consistent sitting for many hours at one time. Majority of day (65%+) is spent sitting at a desk.
    • Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
    • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive oral and written information and to prepare or inspect documents.
    • Good manual dexterity is required for regular and consistent use of keyboard and mouse and other office equipment.
    • Ability to climb stairs on occasion.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
    • Majority of the job is located inside a climate-controlled office, during regular hours of operation.
    • May be expected to drive a company or personal vehicle, as a normal course of job performance. Must be insurable through MVD.
    • High levels of stress associated with working with the public in adversarial situations, extreme deadline issues and intense sales environment.
    • Requires discriminating and critical thinking skills, guided and creative problem solving and ability to keep confidences and apply discretion on a regular basis.
    • This is a ‘safety sensitive’ position in which performance by a person under the influence of drugs or alcohol would constitute an immediate or direct threat of injury or death to that person or another. As such, employees in this role are subject to random drug screening.
