    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Service Manager plays a vital role with ensuring consistent, high-quality service and operations in the Front of the House (FOH), while maximizing profitability, ensuring staff accountability, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering excellent hospitality. We are looking for Full-Time availability, non-exempt reporting directly to the GM. The position consists of serving, bartending, and floor managing shifts when assigned.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Opening Duties

    Conducts pre-shift inspection of restaurant FOH areas: cleanliness, stock levels, equipment functionality, menus

    Ensures Pop Menu & POS systems are updated and operational i.e.: Correct menu items, 86’d items and back in stock items

    Checks inventory levels: replenishes/stocks where needed with the correct amounts and products (including the FOH kitchen stations)

    Assists GM in completing the Business Staffing Analysis as needed

    Reviews the Manager Plans, Daily Floor Plans & Cut Plans with GM and staff

    MOD Duties

    Runs in-person pre and post shift meetings to brief restaurant staff on daily specials, promotions, or any other changes & expectations for the day

    Posts in Sling throughout the shift including important staff messages, shift meeting recaps, completed opening and closing checklists

    Contributes and attends manager meetings

    Oversees and manages the daily and weekly side work checklists, ensures opening and closing side work is getting done efficiently and to standard

    Monitors and ensures excellent service & food quality are meeting standards

    Table touches multiple times during the shift (bar or floor managing)

    Addresses customer complaints promptly and professionally

    Reviews and helps manage the Bevinco score (tracking and posting)

    Performs menu tests, pour-tests and tracks staff results

    Ensures compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service laws

    Closing Duties

    Logs sales, stock usage, and any discrepancies i.e. PC tracking, Deposit Tracking, Receipts Tracking

    Organizes the deep cleaning of FOH areas

    Locks up following set procedures and posts the completed closing checklist

    BAR MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

    Oversees all bar operations including drink quality, speed of service, and cleanliness

    Monitors Bevnco scores, places orders as needed, and monitors the spill logs

    Ensures compliance with all alcohol service laws and internal policies

    Develops and maintains drink menus, including seasonal specials and promotions

    INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

    Places orders with approved suppliers (Boelter/Coffee); monitor deliveries for accuracy

    Tracks expirations dates and rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out)

    STAFF MANAGEMENT

    Assists in the interviewing process

    Cultivates designated training team for new staff members and assists in creating training guidelines

    Oversees onboarding and development of FOH new hires

    Assists in performance evaluations (30 days, 60 days, 90 days)

    Addresses staff underperformance with GM

    Assists in write-ups and coaching staff

    Fosters a positive and productive work culture

    Works with the GM to come up with staff incentives and contests

    MENU & PROMOTIONS

    Collaborates with GM and marketing for seasonal menu updates

    Analyzes sales reports to evaluate drink performance and report it back to GM

    Monitors promotions, happy hours, or themed events and provides feedback to the GM

    MAINTENANCE, SAFETY, & REPORTING

    Ensures all FOH equipment is serviced and in good working condition

    Maintains a safe environment for both staff and patrons

    Reports any incidents or equipment malfunctions to the GM

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

    1-2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience or several years in roles like bartender, server or shift leader

    Critical thinking and problem resolution skills

    Knowledge of both FOH and BOH operations

    Multitasks and works well under pressure

    Natural leader who can inspire, coach, and hold others accountable

    Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills

    Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

    Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards

    Team player who is flexible and is driven to be an example to the staff

    Problem-solver who takes initiative and ownership of challenges and outcomes

    Has a desire to grow within Cream City Concepts and is willing to take on additional responsibilities over time
