At Hustad Companies, the Service Coordinator is the anchor of our national service operation. From our home base, you’ll support techs in the field with answers, context, clarity, and strategy. When a tech says, “What do I do with this?”—you’re the one with the experience to walk them through it.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that blends your roofing knowledge, logistical planning, and communication skills to keep our service operation running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Support Techs with Roofing Expertise
Daily calls from techs in the field needing help with repairs, scopes, or ticket questions
Interpret inspection photos, notes, and site issues to guide best next steps
Apply your experience in TPO, shingles, leak path diagnostics, and scope building to provide confident, useful guidance
Help techs solve problems, not just follow checklists
Schedule All Travel
Fully responsible for booking flights, hotels, rental cars, and lift rentals
Match travel plans to job priorities, property access hours, and cost-efficiency
Anticipate needs—book early, call off gear when done, avoid delays
Track Projects and Manage Documentation
Monitor tickets in CenterPoint to confirm completion, photo uploads, and scope accuracy
Ensure proper documentation format: clear photos, accurate notes, labeled deficiencies
Close tickets promptly and follow up on missing info or open scopes
Inspection Review / Estimating
Review in progress and completed inspection reports completed by field technicians
Verify repair methods, pricing, feasibility
Submit finalized reports to Director of Service
Bridge Field and Office
Keep the service manager informed on tech performance, blockers, and site issues
Escalate performance or documentation concerns proactively
Communicate clearly and professionally via Teams, phone, and email

Required Experience
5+ years of roofing service experience (preferably leak repair, inspections, or QA roles)
Experience booking flights, hotels, vehicles, and coordinating multi-site logistics preferred
Strong working knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope systems
Confident in reading scopes, diagnosing leaks, understanding common failure points
Able to coach less experienced techs through situations remotely
Proficient with:
CenterPoint (work order processing)
Connecteam (communication and time tracking)
Compensation & Benefits
$25.00/hour starting pay, with growth potential
