Responsible for managing all aspects of the Service Department including supporting technicians and service department, customer satisfaction, driving sales volume, profitability, staffing and employee development.
Functions:
- Responsible for support and supervision of service department staff and technicians.
- Provide and coordinate all training-related efforts for service department staff and technicians on company functions including – policies, procedures, reviews, timekeeping, safety, etc.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for technicians and service department staff. Works with Human Resources on any staffing decisions and/or concerns, as needed.
- Manage WIP reporting.
- Work with customers as required for problem/solution resolution and to ensure proper repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Oversee all warranty claim procedures to ensure they are done in a timely, efficient manner, maximizing recovery from the manufacturer.
- Schedule periodic safety meetings with department staff to ensure everyone is kept up to date. Attends and participates in management meetings as requested.
