The Senior Sales Engineer will work closely with Business Development, Sales and Product Management throughout the pre & post sales process. Primary responsibilities include technical support to sales and business development teams on IDEMIA NSS Video Analytic Solutions. In addition, this position will add education of success stories and practices in an ongoing basis with all of the sales & business development team. Demonstrating IDEMIA NSS Video Analytics Solutions, both in virtual and live meetings is required to ensure that our Business Development & Sales teams have the technical support they need throughout the sales cycle.

Our Sales Engineer will stay up to date on the best practices for deploying IDEMIA Video Analytics solutions, bringing that information to the business development & sales organization, as well as our prospects, in order to evangelize and champion IDEMIA Video Analytics in the minds of our prospects and clients. A good balance between strong presentation skills as well as technical acumen on the solution is a plus and training will be provided.

This role requires an ability to learn quickly as well as to contribute and collaborate with all levels of the organization. This role will provide the opportunity to stay technical on industry leading technology as well as engaging customers and prospects to ensure an understanding on prospect and customer requirements.

This role will also work closely with IDEMIA Product Management to ensure that prospect and customer requirements are considered into the product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

• Educate prospects on IDEMIA Video Analytic Solutions and service offerings by providing a consultative, best practices approach including analysis and analytics to define how we can best add value to each prospect
• Provide intensive pre-sales technical consulting to Business Development & Sales staff as they present and sell IDEMIA Video Analytic solutions to their prospects by participating in onsite/online demonstrations, conference calls and site visits
• Document all customer questions to ensure immediate follow-up on all outstanding issues
• Work closely with the Business Development & Sales team to respond to proposals and RFP’s to make certain that all technical information and recommendations address clients requirements
• Work closely with other parts of the organization such as our Product Management, Business Development, Sales, Client Services, and Marketing teams to ensure that newly released features are understood, as well as work with existing customers to determine how new features can increase the value of existing installations
• Provide Deployment support for pilots of our Video Analytics offerings
• 50% travel

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Engineering.

• Must have ability to pass government background check as needed

  Solid Understanding of Linux

• Basic understanding of facial recognition and video analytics

• Basic understanding of virtualization concepts utilizing VMWare, Virtual box, etc.

• Basic understanding of Cloud Technology (Azure, AWS, Oracle, Google)

• Experience with server and workstation hardware platforms and related network elements.

• Must have experience with network analysis and network troubleshooting techniques.

Required Experience

• Any working knowledge of advanced biometrics systems with an emphasis on Computer Vision and Image Processing.
• Understanding of video transcoding, video codecs, and tools like FFMPEG/LIBAV, etc.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB, Hadoop File System, Kubernetes, Docker, JBOSS & Wildfly
