    Required Skills

    We have an outstanding opportunity for a Credit Analyst at our New York, NY location. In this key and highly visible role you will be responsible for managing the overall Credit and Collections program for your assigned accounts. Responsibilities will include adhering to and managing company-wide credit policies and practices, working with our sales organization to recommend credit solutions that will improve revenues and reduce financial risks and working constructively with our customer base to develop solutions to credit related issues and to manage risk assessment. You will be charged with the process of evaluating credit requests based on financial statements, related media and relationship history, resolving customer disputes, conducting credit investigations and assessment utilizing financial statement analysis, trade and bank references and related reporting agencies, and managing the lien rights and bond claim process for Cooper. In addition, you will be responsible for controlling bad debt exposure, providing credit analysis of large customer accounts providing financial planning and analysis and achieving critical KPI’s such as driving down DSO. You will have the opportunity to navigate our credit strategy which to be aligned with our company culture and philosophy. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of Credit experience in a business to business environment’ preferably in distribution, construction, building products or a related industry. A BS degree in Finance or related and knowledge of financial applications including analyzing financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements etc. is required. We are looking for a highly motivated professional possessing the communication skills necessary to interface with all levels of management and staff, as well as customers and sales personnel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
