    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    The recruiter works closely with the company’s owner and Human Resources Manager to maintain the department’s budget and performance. The recruiter will help facilitate recruitment, employment, and retention of all positions within the organization. Day-to-day tasks would include determining status of open positions with supervisors, reviewing employment applications, contacting applicants, scheduling interviews, update reporting information, etc.

     

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers
    • Establishes recruiting requirements and strategies by studying organization plans and objectives, job descriptions, and meeting with managers to discuss job requirements and applicant qualifications
    • Builds applicant sources and creates a talent pipelines with high-potential candidates for future job opportunities by researching, contacting, providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport with:
      • community services and job fairs
      • high schools and colleges
      • employment agencies and recruiters
      • media and internet sites
    • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules
    • Updates job knowledge and current sourcing strategies and industry trends, by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
    • Accomplishes Human Resources and organization missions by completing related results as needed.
    • Maintains detailed records of past applicants’ information, including resumes, assignments, and interview evaluations

     

    ​QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES​

    • Understands and supports the company’s Core Values and Core Focus
    • 2+ years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in relevant industry environment as well as full life-cycle recruiting, including the first hiring stages (job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, etc.)
    • Experience with various interview formats, including phone screening calls, in-person interviews, group interviews, and social media platforms
    • Experience with resume databases and Applicant Tracking Systems
    • Strong Microsoft Office Suite and online meeting platform skills.
    • Working knowledge laws of relevant employment law
    • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, and relationship-building skills
    • Accomplished organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
    • Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities
    • Ability to perform projects with a high degree of detail
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
