Our company is seeking a driven Sales Executive to generate new business with organizations building critical facilities that require NETA Electrical Testing and electrical product service options for data centers. The focus is to make a major impact in the mission-critical data center industry across North America. You will call on hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center customers to provide Managed Services Support and engage electrical contractors to deliver NETA testing services for new data center builds.
Our Managed Services offering provides data centers with cost-effective, efficient solutions for end-of-life electrical systems, leveraging the most advanced technology available. The ideal candidate will possess established contacts in the Data Center / Critical Facilities marketplace, call on existing clients, and prospect for new accounts. A proven track record of consultative data center solutions sales is essential, along with a strong background in electrical commissioning and testing, electrical contracting, and electrical product knowledge.
This role will expand national presence by strengthening relationships and establishing the company as a go-to partner across all data center sub-sectors, drive engagement by deepening collaboration with key decision-makers to understand their challenges and deliver tailored solutions, and enhance market leadership by positioning the company as a trusted expert in electrical system reliability, safety, and modernization. The objective is to create measurable growth while reinforcing the company’s reputation as the industry’s premier partner for critical electrical infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Pursue opportunities with Data Center customers such as hyperscale companies, colocation providers, enterprise data centers, and industrial/commercial businesses to sell the company’s managed services contracts
- Focus on data center segments including hyperscale, large multisite colocation providers, medium / small colocation, enterprise , and Bitcoin / HPC
- Secure Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Preferred Vendor Status with customers in the segment
- Drive growth by expanding the company’s footprint, increasing market share
- Secure strategic MSAs, Preferred Vendor Status, and life extension projects
- Coordinate closely with regional field managers and sales leaders to align execution with customer needs
- Pursue opportunities with data center construction projects, supporting electrical contractors by providing NETA testing services
- Manage relationships with partners, engineering firms, general contractors, and client contacts to stay aware of new and upcoming projects
- Build relationships with large electrical contractors performing on major data center projects
- Drive full project life cycle sales (FPLC) – from identifying opportunities and managing clients to overseeing projects from inception through completion, including billing and collections
- Meet regional and national sales objectives by forecasting, closing deals, and driving with both new and existing data center customers
- Create and execute a sales plan to achieve regional quotas and support growth objectives, from prospecting and technical scoping to proposal coordination and closing
- Schedule meetings and presentations with qualified decision-makers
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting to improve pipeline qualification and opportunity quality
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment from sales through operational execution
- Utilize the company’s CRM tools like IIR and Salesforce to identify, track, report, and manage all sales activities
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings (e.g., DCD, DataCenterWorld, Bisnow/DICE, 7x24 Exchange, PTC, UPTIME) to build networks and identify opportunities
- Become a recognized industry expert by attending conferences, participating in committees, presenting technical papers, and taking leadership roles
- Develop a Data Center Playbook for internal execution
Qualifications:
- Strong professional network in the Data Center / Critical Facilities Market a must with a focus on Colos, Hyperscale, and Enterprise companies the U.S.
- Leverage technical knowledge in the critical facilities industry influencing customer relationships, and business development to drive new revenue in equipment MSAs and NETA testing Services
- Create a scalable / repeatable go-to-market strategy for Data Centers facility engagements
- 5 to 10 yrs + of relevant critical facilities / data center industry
- Business Contacts with end users and data center facilities operators and developers: Critical Facility Executives, Site Directors, Director of Facilities, Facilities Managers, etc
- Relationships with business contacts with electrical contractors to provide NETA testing services
- B/A or B/S a plus
- Must be a team player and be able to build long-term partner relationships with internal and external individuals who are part of the business development process
- Active members of business organizations such as DCD, AFCOM, ASHRAE, Bisnow / DICE, 7x24 Exchange, PTC, UPTIME, etc
- Attend Conferences related to the industry and represent the company to drive in new business
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Must be able to demonstrate a sustained track record of business development accomplishments as related to new business opportunities
- Proficient with Customer relationship management platforms
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Required travel as needed / candidate should be near an airport
