    About the Role

    Wenger Construction is seeking a Service Superintendent to lead and support multiple service crews across various commercial projects. This role is hands-on, focused on safety, quality, and efficiency in the field.

    The Service Superintendent coordinates daily schedules, oversees jobsite progress, and ensures top-notch communication with customers and team members. This position is ideal for a natural leader who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring crews, and taking ownership of project success while upholding Wenger’s core values.

    Key Responsibilities

    · Crew Management: Supervise and oversee up to four service crews, assigning daily tasks based on individual skill sets, project priorities, and job site locations.

    · Service Coordination: Respond promptly to service calls, perform initial evaluations, and coordinate with office staff to prepare estimates, bids, and follow-up documentation.

    · Field Support & Training: Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and on-site guidance to field workers to promote skill development and job efficiency.

    · Performance ** & Accountability:** Partner with the Service Manager to conduct performance evaluations, address attendance or behavior issues, and administer corrective actions as needed.

    · Customer Relations: Communicate professionally with clients, resolve concerns in a timely manner, and manage change orders or project updates to ensure customer satisfaction.

    · Material ** & Equipment Oversight:** Oversee the procurement, delivery, and staging of tools and materials to ensure job sites are prepared for efficient workflow.

    · Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly meetings with production and leadership teams to review project progress, share updates, and align on goals and priorities.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

    • Prior leadership or superintendent experience in construction, roofing, or siding

    • Strong understanding of safety practices and the ability to enforce compliance

    • Comfortable reading plans, scopes of work, and project documentation

    • Hold crews accountable to company standards for safety, customer service, quality, and pace.

    • Be available outside normal hours for urgent service-related issues.

    • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report).

    • Ability to travel between job sites and headquarters as needed.

    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally between job sites

    • Bonus if you have:

      • 5+ years construction experience
      • OSHA certification
      • Familiarity with project management tools (Procore, Monday.com, etc.)
