Summary:
Provide hands-on installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of customer equipment. Ranging from mechanical, electrical, and gas components of appliances. Travel to client locations, offer solutions, and ensure efficient, safe, and professional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Installing new appliances, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing problems with appliances using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
Repairs: Replacing faulty parts, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring appliances are repaired to manufacturer specifications.
Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service, explaining repairs, and providing advice on appliance usage and maintenance.
Documentation: Maintaining records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
Inventory Management: Ensuring the availability of necessary parts and tools.
Safety: Following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
No experience necessary, however certification in appliance, gas, and sealed systems is preferred.
Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of appliance mechanics and electrical systems.
Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and solve appliance problems effectively.
Repair Skills: Proficiency in repairing and replacing appliance parts.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent service.
Valid Driver's License: Necessary for traveling to customer locations.
Working Conditions:
Appliance service technicians typically work in customers' homes.
There may be a need to work evenings or weekends to respond to emergency calls.
