About the Role
Chimney Cricket & Hometown Hearth is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll inspect, maintain, and service fireplaces and chimney systems for homeowners across the region. Whether you're experienced or looking to develop a skilled trade, this is a great opportunity to grow with a company known for quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fireplace and chimney inspections, cleanings, and basic repairs
Install or replace chimney components (liners, caps, dampers, etc.)
Identify system issues and recommend service or upgrades
Communicate clearly with customers and provide safety education
Keep accurate service records and use CRM tools
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety standards and company procedures
Qualifications
Experience in chimney service, HVAC, or related trades preferred
Comfortable working at heights and outdoors
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and customer service mindset
Willingness to learn and pursue industry certifications (CSIA)
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Training & Development
We provide on-the-job training and support toward achieving your CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep credential within your first 90 days. Continued education is encouraged, with opportunities to grow into advanced service and installation roles.
