Service Technician – John Deere Construction & Forestry Equipment

Position Summary

The Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains John Deere construction, forestry, and industrial equipment in both shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.

Complete work orders and service documentation accurately.

Communicate repair recommendations with customers and managers.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Participate in ongoing technical and manufacturer training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience repairing heavy equipment, diesel engines, or related machinery preferred.

Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

Basic computer and diagnostic software knowledge.

Valid driver's license required.

Ability to lift, climb, bend, and work in shop and outdoor environments.
