    Experienced Commercial Restaurant Equipment Service Technician Wanted

    Since 1985, City Food Equipment has been Chicago’s trusted leader in commercial restaurant equipment and supply distribution. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Restaurant Equipment Service Technician with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to join our service team.

    If you have hands-on experience repairing commercial mixers, food prep equipment, cooking equipment, and other commercial kitchen machinery, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with an established, locally owned company.

    Key Responsibilities · Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial restaurant equipment

    · Service equipment including:

    · Commercial mixers

    · Ovens, fryers, steamers

    · Food prep equipment

    · Refrigeration units

    · Smallware’s equipment with mechanical components · Perform electrical diagnostics (motors, switches, wiring, relays, controls)

    · Repair mechanical systems (belts, bearings, gear assemblies, drive components)

    · Read and interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals

    · Complete detailed service reports

    · Provide professional, customer-focused service onsite

    · Maintain company vehicle and service inventory

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of experience as a Commercial Equipment Service Technician

    Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (single-phase & three-phase systems preferred)

    Solid mechanical repair background

    Experience working on commercial mixers and restaurant equipment

    Ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment failures

    Valid Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

    Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in commercial kitchen environments

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications

    EPA certification (for refrigeration service work)

    Manufacturer or factory training certifications

    Experience in field service roles

    Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

    Compensation & Benefits

    $19–$25 per hour (based on experience)
