Job Description

As the Lead Service Technician, you will oversee and execute essential home maintenance services including gutter cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, smoke detector testing, water heater inspections, and more. You will lead service visits, ensure quality standards, and represent the brand with professionalism and reliability.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled home maintenance tasks efficiently and to high quality standards.

Lead and train service assistants (if assigned) during on-site visits.

Interact with customers in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.

Conduct safety checks and identify potential issues during service delivery.

Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in top condition.

Accurately complete service reports and communicate findings.

Ensure compliance with all HomeSmiles procedures and safety protocols.

Please note that HomeSmiles technicians will not amend or repair any client property.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in residential maintenance, home inspections, handyman services, or related fields.

Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Strong customer service skills with a can-do attitude.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and lead small teams.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks safely.

Tech-savvy with smartphone/tablet use for job tracking and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with gutter systems, HVAC filters, smoke detectors, and minor plumbing/electrical tasks.

OSHA or trade certifications are a plus.

Military or veteran experience highly valued.
