Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in the Kansas City area. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual with hands-on experience who is eager to grow their career. The role involves providing on-site technical support to customers within a 250-mile radius of Kansas City.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on field service and technical support to customers across a 250-mile radius, including St. Louis, Wichita, Tulsa, and Minneapolis.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment and machinery on customer sites.
• Travel as needed to perform service calls
• Complete service reports, paperwork, and administrative tasks
• Work independently while leveraging mentorship from senior technicians.
• Safely and effectively use hand tools, electrical testing equipment, and company-provided specialty tools.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience (automotive repair, truck maintenance, oil changes, or work in a manufacturing/mechanical environment).
• Basic electrical knowledge, including the ability to use multimeters, understand DC/low voltage circuits, and work with three-phase power.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn new systems and take on challenges.
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel
• Must own a basic set of hand tools (Allen wrenches, box wrenches, sockets, etc.). Specialty tools supplied by the company.
• Comfortable with overnight travel
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with PLC logic, robotics, or industrial controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.).
• Background from automotive technical schools or prior automotive/mechanical technician roles.
• Previous field service or customer-facing technical experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $52,000 – $62,000
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours.
• Paid for all hours from the time you leave home until you return home on service calls (excluding normal office commute).
• Mileage reimbursement at $0.62 per mile
• Per diem of $50 per day for travel days.
• Company credit card provided for hotels and approved travel expenses.

• Flexible work schedule with no weekend work

Location

• Based in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
• Covers a 250-mile service radius, including travel to St. Louis, Wichita, Tulsa, and Minneapolis.
