    We are seeking a self-motivated Septic System Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential and commercial septic systems. The ideal candidate has an understanding of wastewater treatment systems and experience with pumps, plumbing, and/or electrical systems, and excellent troubleshooting skills. A valid driver's license is required, and a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not required. This is a hands-on, independent, physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic and outdoor work in various weather conditions. If you enjoy a challenge and customer-focused work, this is the role for you. Both entry-level apprentice applicants and experienced applicants will be considered. Pay commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: • Inspect and diagnose septic systems to identify maintenance or repair needs • Locate and access septic system components using tools and schematics • Perform routine maintenance, including filter cleaning and pump replacement • Repair/replace damaged septic system components such as pumps, float switches, controls, lids, and leaks. • Maintain accurate work records and complete customer reports • Communicate clearly with customers to explain work performed and provide maintenance recommendations • Coordinate the scheduling of pump trucks to clean and empty septic tanks • Willingness to work around exposure to sewage, odors, and potentially hazardous materials. • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. • Adhere to all OSHA, DOT, and SCDES regulations • Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on the service vehicle and equipment Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • Prior experience in septic tanks, plumbing, electrical controls, and/or wastewater systems strongly preferred • Ability to lift 50+ lbs • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Willingness to work flexible hours, including emergencies or weekends when needed • Willingness to share "on-call" time during weekends and holidays. Compensation: $37,500 - $65,000 yearly
