Responsibilities: • Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools • Ensure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairs • Adhere to manufacturer specifications to maintain vehicle systems and ensure customer satisfaction • Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements • Diagnose and repair issues with vehicles • Inspect and test automotive electrical systems for faults and malfunctions • Replace worn or damaged parts, such as shocks, struts, and suspension components • Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed Qualifications: • GED or high school diploma is mandatory • Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus • Stellar customer service and communications skills are mandatory • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desired • Experience level: 3 years • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles • Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques - Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to customers • Strong willingness to work with others in a positive way Compensation: $25 - $45 hourly
