    The Service Technician is responsible for performing service style tasks in assisting our customers in maintaining the physical integrity of their apartment communities. This role ensures that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in a manner that enhances the customer experience.

    Responsibilities:

    Maintenance & Repairs

    Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems.

    Conduct light carpentry, drywall patching, painting, and tile work.

    Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fixtures, outlets, locks, and other hardware.

    Maintain and repair common areas, including lighting, stairwells, and grounds.

    Preventive Maintenance

    Conduct regular inspections of units and building systems.

    Replace HVAC filters, clean dryer vents, and perform seasonal maintenance tasks.

    Maintain accurate records of service requests, completed work, and inventory.

    Unit Turnovers

    Prepare vacated units for new residents by completing make-readies.

    Ensure all repairs and cleaning are completed to customer standards before move-in.

    Project Support

    Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs beyond the “in-house capabilities.”

    Support project managers with documentation, scheduling, and quality control.

    Qualifications:

    Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems

    Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively

    Excellent problem-solving and time management skills

    Strong communication and customer service orientation

    High school diploma or GED required; vocational training a plus

    Recommended Qualifications:

    EPA Certification (Type I or II) preferred for HVAC work

    Microsoft Office Suite
