    There are TWO positions for which we are hiring--an AM tech and a PM tech. Please read carefully the required hours of each and designate which one you are applying. Both positions could grow into full time positions for the right person.

    MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION to the warehouse/van location in Starkville.

    Must be available for attending paid training and jobs in Jackson as required. Jobs can be scheduled throughout the area (Meridian, Oxford, Jackson). MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.

    Ideal candidate can operate independently, show up as assigned, and strive to make our customers happy. Commercial kitchen experience a plus but not required.

    MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, BE ABLE TO SHOW UP ON TIME AND WORK A SET SCHEDULE.

    The primary responsibility of Service Technicians is to service our commercial kitchen customers in Starkville and East Mississippi. Our employees must safely and efficiently operate a company-provided cargo van, mobile filtration unit (MFU), and related equipment. In this role, you will provide full fryer management services to existing commercial kitchen customers (restaurants, hospitals, corporate cafeterias, colleges, stadiums, assisted living facilities) on an established route that includes Starkville, Columbus, Mayhew, and Louisville.

    Once onsite, you will provide fryer management services including:

    microfiltration and restocking of cooking oil,

    vacuum-based cleaning of deep fryers, and

    hauling of waste vegetable oil (WVO) to recycle.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct routine cleaning of restaurant and large facility fryers

    Learn, live, and lead into our core values every day

    Provide friendly, high-quality customer service

    Follow assigned schedule and be on time for appointments

    Conduct customer demonstrations of Filta services as needed

    Communicate effectively with customers and management

    Perform daily and weekly care and preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, storage facility, and cargo van

    Complete basic repair/maintenance of the Filta microfiltration unit (MFU)

    Keep cargo van clean, stocked, and well-organized

    Inventory supplies and materials and submit order requests

    Maintain service records for each customer

    Complete daily service records and submit to management

    Report any critical issues or changes with customer staff, fryer oil, and frying habits

    Engage in customer recruitment and retention initiatives

    Clean up spills immediately and keep all work areas clean

    Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE gear provided

    Assure compliance with franchise standards/policies

    Maintain the facility

    Learn cross training skills for additional services we offer such as FiltaClean (deep clean of commercial kitchens)

    Qualifications

    Valid driver's license, three-year driving history, and good driving record (no speeding tickets or accidents in the last 3 years)

    Minimum age of 25 due to auto insurance requirements

    Ability to lift up to 70 lbs at one time and push/pull 10-300 lbs.

    Ability to work in hot, cold and non-climate controlled conditions

    High school diploma/GED or the equivalent in experience

    Flexible schedule

    Discipline to work independently with minimal supervision

    Ability to establish credibility and communicate effectively

    Initiative to learn and to stay up to date on the latest service procedures

    Reliable transportation to/from company cargo van pickup site in Starkville

    Pass drug screening and background check

    Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills a plus

    Previous experience with cooking equipment (fryers, hoods, stoves, ovens, grills, ice machines, coolers, freezers) service/repair, other machinery/cleaning related fields, or military service a plus

    Ability to see information in print and/or electronically

    Ability to complete services that require lifting, bending, standing, walking, driving, reaching, stooping/kneeling, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands

    Compensation and Benefits

    Pay range is $18 per hour. Overtime paid for hours over 40 hours per week. Saturdays are off. Pay is via direct deposit biweekly. Must have a bank account capable of receiving direct deposit. Schedule does involve early mornings and/or late evenings as customer schedule is set. Please look above for the outline of the schedule. It is not negotiable. Please confirm you can work these times before applying.
