Job Description
A Service Writer must provide support to drivers, mechanics and office teams daily as outlined below. This position is in a repair shop environment. You will handle the organization of shop workflow, writing up Work Orders, Purchase orders, overseeing a parts inventory, and providing end of month inventory counts. This is a seasonal paced work environment.
Qualified individuals will have a deep understanding of diesel engines, truck parts, DOT regulations, and heavy-duty repair processes. In this role, the ideal individual must have the ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear, understandable terms for the customer.

Must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person, telephone and email. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Service Writer must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Finally, they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
