We're growing and looking for a dependable and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team.
Job Summary: As a Service Writer at our shop, you’ll be the key link between our customers and our technicians. You’ll greet clients, understand their concerns, create repair orders, and ensure the service process runs smoothly from drop-off to pick-up. Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assess their vehicle concerns with professionalism and care
Create detailed repair orders and obtain necessary customer approvals
Communicate repair recommendations from technicians clearly and accurately
Maintain timely updates with customers regarding vehicle status and estimated completion
Manage service workflow and coordinate with technicians to ensure deadlines are met
Handle parts ordering and follow up on special-order items as needed
Ensure customer satisfaction from initial visit through post-service follow-up
Assist with shop scheduling and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a service writer or customer-facing automotive role preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Basic understanding of vehicle systems and repair terminology
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
3+ years of experience in a similar role
