Job Position Description:

This position is responsible for creating cleaner, healthier environments for our customer’, their students and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be Assigned:

Reports To: Manager

Basic Function: To perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the facilities looking perfect and to exceed the expectations of our customers.

Key Responsibilities and duties:

Sweep and mop floors

Vacuum all carpeting

Gather and dispose of trash from restrooms, offices and other work areas;

Clean and sanitize toilets, basins and urinals

Clean mirrors, counters and sink

Spot Clean walls and doors

Restock toiletries in restroom dispensers

Dust equipment and fixtures;

Keep cleaning supplies in stock

Must follow and adhere company’s and safety policies in the work place

Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision

Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs

Perform additional duties as assigned

Maintain a professional image by wearing uniform

Provide clients with exceptional customer service

Must maintain a positive attitude with coworkers, customers and management

Must arrive on time at job site

Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

High school graduate or GED preferred.

Minimum of 1-year experience in the janitorial or cleaning service industry

Have the ability to read and communicate in English

Have a working knowledge of basic cleaning equipment

Physical ability to lift and handle equipment up to 35 pounds

Ability to manage time efficiently

Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning and other janitorial work

Maintain a professional image at all times

Place safety hazard signs in the building including “wet floor” signs as necessary

Monitor, clean, service and restock bathrooms

Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools and procedures

Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching

Must have an eye for detail

Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses

Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn
