This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpeted and hard floor surfaces.

Duties include but are not limited to: Perform all floor cleaning and maintenance duties for facilities using ServiceMaster provided tools and procedures. This may include: using backpack vacuums, mopping, shampooing or extracting carpets, stripping and waxing floors, buffing or burnishing, moving furniture, spot cleaning, and other duties to achieve the desired outcomes.

The successful technician must achieve a thorough understanding of stripping and refinishing floors, carpet cleaning, identifying different flooring types and performing the correct procedures for each. Technician will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

Physical Demands and Qualifications: Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, twisting, reaching Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 55lbs. 1-2 years’ experience as a floor tech is highly helpful but not required. We will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job is a must. Contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time Must be able to work from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM Monday through Friday. Must be able to work weekends from time to time to complete projects. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
