Have you ever wondered what to do if you have a flood or fire? That’s what we do! We are there in your hour of need to restore homes and personal belongings that have been damaged by fire, flood, and mold. ServiceMaster Grand Rapids is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team, specifically to assist with the fire damage restoration side of things. This includes:- Cleaning the interior of homes after a fire. Removing soot is more intensive than just general housekeeping. Ceilings, walls, floors, nooks and crannies all need to be deep cleaned with our special cleaning products. - Cleaning customers’ personal belongings. Think of all you own in your home. Smoke from a fire will touch all of it, even in drawers and behind closed doors. We need to be meticulous and thorough to remove all soot in a home, so the smell doesn’t linger. - Working at a customer’s home or at our office warehouse location. Each day on the job will be different. Our ideal candidate- Has at least 1 year of cleaning experience. - Someone who is detail-oriented and takes pride in their work.- Enjoys a change in pace and routine from day to day.- Can work and communicate effectively with a team of restoration technicians. - Can work independently if the job requires it.- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.- Must be able to pass a background check.- Able to work 8am-5pm, M-F.Our office is located on the SE side of Grand Rapids, though job sites may change day-to-day. Health, dental, and vision insurance plans are available in addition to life insurance policies. Paid time-off accrues during your first year of employment and is useable after your anniversary. Bonuses are paid on qualifying jobs, and we are willing to train the right person. Compensation is $13-17/hour, depending on experience. Top dollar will be offered to someone who is IICRC certified, though it is not required.
