Position Summary: Relief Counselors are the backbone of our organization. This is a flexible position that allows you to work across multiple divisions and locations using an online scheduling platform. This is a great opportunity for students pursuing a degree in social work, psychology, healthcare / nursing, early intervention services, human services, etc. to gain experience and exposure. Relief are a large part of the Residential Teams; providing a wide range of direct care support for individuals with Brain Injuries and/or Mental Health Recovery services.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day rehabilitation and recovery supports, guidance and modeling, strategies and interventions.

Teach and assist with menu planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation and clean-up, house maintenance activities, etc.

Transportation to/from appointments, community events, etc.

Complete daily shift notes, data tracking, and any other individual record keeping that may be assigned.

Administer medications (MAP certificate must be on file).

Remain current on agency certifications / trainings.

Other programmatic tasks assigned by the Program Director / Site Manager.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.

Physical ability to perform the requirements of the position.

Basic Computer Skills.

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.

$16.50/hour- plus a $1.00 wage differential for Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification.
