    ROLE

    As we continue expanding our Workflow Design Studio, we are seeking an expert motion designer with a strong interest in leveraging dynamic visuals to guide users through intuitive, unified experiences for our new 'Lab' team. Working directly with our Product and Sales teams, they will create beautiful and engaging experiences that drive business by humanizing technology and leveraging user-centered design that inspire our customers about the possibilities of ServiceNow. The Workflow Design Studio-Lab will create remarkable narratives with accompanying visuals and then work collaboratively with demo and video production teams to deliver the most compelling customer-facing demos. Artifacts from engagements may include storyboards, visual experiences, Figma mock-ups, and process blueprints.

    Reporting to our Workflow Design Studio Creative Director, you will take motion in product to the next level. Joining a team of UX Designers and Writers based across the US, you will contribute to all our major UX design efforts in several mission-focused User Experience projects. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-motivated systems thinker with a deep understanding of visual storytelling and excited to elevate any project.

    AT SERVICENOW YOU WILL:

    ·       Contribute to all stages of animation / video creative development, from ideation and storyboarding to production and final delivery

    ·       Develop, champion and influence how the ServiceNow’s brand expresses itself through motion and develop guidelines, systems, and processes to ensure quality and consistency at scale

    ·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams in ways that elevate and inform the team’s output

    ·       Lead as a domain-expert by pitching new video concepts and formats that serve our global audience

    ·       Work closely with designers and developers in implementing engaging and dynamic motion solutions

    ·       Partner with the Workflow Design Studio team to create the motion language for brand and product

    ·       Provide your interaction design expertise to our user research team to discover and solve user pain points and problems

    ·       Handle elements of post-production including timeline-based animations, motion tracking, color correction, and keying

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    ·       5+ years of professional experience as a motion designer and/or user experience designer

    ·       Professional mastery of After Effects, Premiere Pro, and expertise in Lottie or equivalent tools

    • Expertise with standard design and prototyping tools like Sketch and Figma

    ·       Demonstrable expertise in motion design and working experience with vector graphics

    • Some 3D experience (e.g. using Maya, Cinema4D, 3DStudio Max) will be a welcome bonus

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

     

    ·       Has full fluency in the interplay between design fundamentals such as typography, color, space, proportion, timing, sound, rhythm—and their roles in visual communication

    ·       Has experience with character animation

    ·       Strong critical thinking and storytelling skills

    ·       A dynamic portfolio and/or motion reel showcasing technical 2D animation expertise, a high-level of craft, and a great sense of timing

    ·       Has a solid understanding of the user-centered design process and is familiar with UX methodologies such as, storyboarding, user flows, personas, as well as various types of usability testing, including card Sorting, eye movement tracking, and more

    ·       Effectively communicate concepts and design rationale

    ·       Able to work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment independently, drive multiple projects at a time, and iterate quickly

    ·       Experience and interest in building and extending motion systems

    A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

    FLEXIBLE 

    A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

    REMOTE

    A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
