    NOW A BIT ABOUT THE SRE TEAM The Site Reliability Engineering team is a group of highly technical engineers who are tasked with maintaining and developing the reliability, scalability, and performance of the ServiceNow platform and infrastructure. The SRE is empowered to drive technical resolutions across the stack from application through to hardware, and all levels in between. The ultimate goal of the SRE is to never escalate an issue to an engineering or development team by completely owning the resolution of issues in the ServiceNow environment.  They are also tasked with driving forward the operability of the platform to drive down the number of incidents while reducing MTTR. To accomplish this, the team combines software development, networking and systems engineering expertise, and a strong desire to be challenged by problems of scale and complexity to make our service better for our customers.     TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE:

    • Deep knowledge of Linux systems
    • Expertise in software Design and Development
    • 5+ years Coding at the enterprise level in various languages; we normally prefer Python, JavaScript, and Ruby
    • 5+ years (MySQL) Database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
    • Expertise in Observability and Monitoring of applications, services, and networks at scale
    • 5+ Years’ experience with Cloud technologies, preferably Azure
    • Senior level networking skills, IP addressing and routing.
    • Team-first attitude and an uncompromising attention to detail.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
    • Ability to work in shifts that cover one weekend day.
    • Experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform is a bonus!

    WORK PERSONAS

    Work personas are categories that are assigned to employees depending on the nature of their work. Employees will fall into one of three categories: Remote, Flexible or Required in Office.

    REQUIRED IN OFFICE

    A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

    FLEXIBLE

    A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

    REMOTE

    A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
