Job Description
As the lead Website Developer on the Lightstep Website Team, you will design, build and run our development efforts. You will own the build out of features and new web experiences on the Lightstep website, which is Gatsby + Contentful backed with a React + Material UI frontend.
You will partner with team members across Marketing, Product and Design to deliver user-facing features, influence and guide website architecture, and many other areas to improve the overall customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Developing the latest user-facing features using React.js
· Designing a modern highly responsive web-based user interface
· Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
· Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
· Collaborate with back-end and API developers to enhance the user experience
· Design & develop modules as per architecture defined, with best practices, security and performance considerations
· Liaise with internal or customer contact on day-to-day basis to clarify queries, report progress and provide guidance on any technical implementation related questions
· Be competent in handling constant change of scope and solution
Qualifications
5+ years of overall experience with content managements systems, with ideally 3+ with modern React stack backed by tools like Gatsby and Contentful
· Has experience scaling CSS using a modern solution such as Emotion, Styled Components, or TailwindCSS
· Can work with product and design teams to create and execute technical specs based on requests
· Can understand marketing requirements concerning analytic tools such as segment or GA, and use these tools in a reliable way
· An understanding of UX, performance, and other necessities to ship a great website
· Experience building scalable, distributed experiences
· Knowledge of content modelling, Space management, Plugin development, authoring interface and back-end functionality of Contentful is preferred
· Familiarity with Material-UI
· Work experience with GatsbyJs - Routing, Pulling data etc.
· Easily adapt to new scenarios
· Hands-on mindset and determination to get things done

WORK PERSONAS
Work personas are categories that are assigned to employees depending on the nature of their work. Employees will fall into one of three categories: Remote, Flexible or Required in Office.
REQUIRED IN OFFICE
A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.
FLEXIBLE
A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
REMOTE
A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
