    The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is a customer-focused innovation group in ServiceNow.

    THE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY GROUP (ATG) AI ARCHITECTURE IMPACT TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INCREASING THE CUSTOMER IMPACT OF AI IN SERVICENOW PLATFORM AND PRODUCTS THROUGH SMART DESIGN OF SCALABLE SYSTEMS, DATA AND AI PATTERNS THAT ENABLE INNOVATION, CREATION AND DELIVERY OF WORLD CLASS AI CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCES.

     TO CONTINUE TO HYPERSCALE THE ATG ORGANIZATION, THE VP, AI ARCHITECTURE AND IMPACT WILL:

    Lead the AI Architecture Impact Team’s delivery of AI modernization & transformation across Servicenow – shaping the AI and data technical strategy, design and scale of the data and AI platform and experiences.

    • Drive the Architecture Impact Team’s work with research, engineering, product and design teams to shape the architecture needed to enable modern AI capabilities, and develop comprehensive data and AI platform roadmaps for those capabilities to be realized through solutions in response to evolving product & business needs 
    • Lead and grow a group of experienced systems and software architects and AI experts tasked with defining ServiceNow’s future functional AI architecture and productization strategies.
    • Represent and articulate the AI requirements and technical direction and partner with the broader ServiceNow architecture community to shape the evolution of the ServiceNow platform to deliver AI-powered experiences at scale.
    • Partner with the infrastructure, platform and application teams to ensure the needs of AI development are met and best practices of AI are adopted uniformly.
    • Partner with research team to future proof the AI platform - bringing to market new AI innovations

    QUALIFICATIONS This is a highly visible and critical leadership role with the responsibility of defining the strategies that ServiceNow employs in order to provide consistency around AI architecture decisions and how we maintain unity in ServiceNow platform and product lines while simultaneously facilitating a fast pace of innovation in AI. DISTINGUISHED-LEVEL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE We are looking for a senior technical leader with experience designing large scale AI and data architecture and systems and someone who is well-versed in scaling architectures in enterprises from innovation to production

    • 15+ years of deep experience in AI science, systems, data & enterprise architectures
    • Experience bridging research, science & engineering vision for architectural roadmaps  
    • Experience building strong cross functional relationships that foster deep engagements
    • Leading and architecting large-scale, commercial applications and platforms, managing commercial technology portfolios, and experience working across product management, architecture, and engineering functions
    • Extensive experience in modern AI platform technology:  AI hardware (e.g. GPUs, clusters), AI software (e.g. PyTorch, ONNX, TensorFlow etc.), compute frameworks (Kubernetes, containers etc.) and data systems for AI
    • Experience defining and optimizing technology process design with an extreme focus on productization and customer benefit and experience.
    • Deep experience in the creation and ongoing improvement of APIs, data models etc. which can solve for customer facing performance, ability to drive future reuse, and logical consistency of the customer experience.
    • Ability to represent and promote complex business or technical architectural concepts both internally and externally.
    • Lead and grow a strong team of experienced architects. Experience leading an AI science team is a plus.
    • Bachelor's/Master’s/PhD degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

    WORK PERSONAS

    Work personas are categories that are assigned to employees depending on the nature of their work. Employees will fall into one of three categories: Remote, Flexible or Required in Office. 

    REQUIRED IN OFFICE

    A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

    FLEXIBLE 

    A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

    REMOTE

    A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
