    Job Description

    ServiceNow is seeking an experienced Manager for our SWAT Database/DevOps Engineering team.

    You should have experience with large scale Web application and MySQL/MariaDB environments and a knack for problem solving and optimization databases, application and performance issues. Qualified candidates will be responsible to lead a team of highly skilled engineers that push the limits of scalability.

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:

     

    • Lead and facilitate technical discussions to strategize scaling out the ServiceNow application and MariaDB database.
    • Manage and grow future leaders in the team.
    • Build a team of engineers that would engineer scalable solutions.
    • Assist the team with technical problems and incidents when necessary
    • Work with various stakeholders to scale ServiceNow application and advise developers as per need basis.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE:

    • 5+ years of experience managing teams of engineers and/or DevOps/Database Administrators.
    • 3+ years of experience in a high-traffic, web-based application (preferably Java based).
    • Working experience in Mysql/MariaDB.
    • Knowledge of JVM is a huge plus.
    • Familiarity in Jmeter/Junit testing is a plus.
    • Background in performance engineering is a plus.
