    Job Description

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    ServiceNow’s Digital Technology organization drives technical innovation and transformation for ServiceNow employees, and serves as an important ambassador for digital transformation with our customers and partners.

    As communications specialist for Digital Technology, you’ll support external visibility and external communications activities for ServiceNow’s Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and bench of Chief Transformation Officers (CTOs).

    The role will require activities such as external audits, writing narratives and other content, sourcing and placing the CDIO at relevant events, submitting the CDIO for industry awards, and conducting targeted trade press outreach for the CTOs.

    Successful candidates will love learning quickly, experimenting, collaborating, and applying learnings to future activities.

    HOW YOU’LL DO IT: 

    • Reporting structure: You’ll be a member of the Product PR team. You’ll also work closely with the office of the CDIO to align on business priorities and desired outcomes.

    • Core responsibilities: Develop and execute a speakers bureau for the ServiceNow CDIO, including sourcing top-tier events, and placing, prepping, and staffing the CDIO there. Create and execute a plan to nominate/submit the CDIO for relevant industry memberships and awards. Develop and execute a targeted communications plan to generate trade press interest for ServiceNow CTOs. Audit CTOs’ social profiles and recommend best practices and ways to generate engagement that CTOs can easily and intuitively activate. Writing, event coordination, reviewing, and reporting on results also expected.

    • Integrated communications: When needed, you’ll collaborate with members of the Global Comms team, Product PR team, and other business partners (Marketing, Exec Programs) to ensure integration with key company events, announcements, and other relevant moments for the CDIO and select CTOs.

    • Business and Industry knowledge: You’ll get to know ServiceNow's purpose and aspiration, Platform and solutions, and go-to-market strategies worldwide.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of related experience. Agency or client-side are fine.
    • Proficiency in industries like technology, B2B, SaaS, and/or cloud preferred but not required.
    • Ability to take direction in a collaborative way, participate on cross-functional teams, and develop and lead appropriate projects.

    WORK PERSONAS

    Work personas are categories that are assigned to employees depending on the nature of their work. Employees will fall into one of three categories: Remote, Flexible or Required in Office. 

    REQUIRED IN OFFICE

    A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

    FLEXIBLE 

    A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

    REMOTE

    A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
