    Job Description

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:   

      • The candidate will be a member of the DevOps Engineering team, whose objective is to enable software engineers to efficiently build, test and deliver high quality and secure software using the ServiceNow platform
        • The role encompasses support for our software delivery systems including (but not limited to) release engineering, release automation, vulnerability testing, software testing, deployment and configuration, as well as system monitoring
        • This role requires a proven experience designing and implementing custom application in the ServiceNow platform ecosystem as well as an understanding of common services in the DevSecOps delivery pipelines

    • Job Responsibilities
      • Develop, analyze and maintain tools built on a ServiceNow platform that support and automate processes for secure software product releases
      • Tackle a challenging and varied set of problems aimed at how we can further mature our DevSecOps tools, processes, and engineering capabilities
      • Automate release processes to eliminate manual work and human error
      • Escalate issues to other teams as appropriate by providing detailed log analysis that bring the development team up to speed quickly on the problem
      • Document incidents/problems and interacts with other teams to drive permanent resolutions; anticipate, prevent and eliminate problems and create efficient fixes
      • Collaborate with team members across widely varying levels and roles like stakeholders, application teams, change and release management and admin teams

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE:

    • Skills
      • Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience in a technical engineering role in a ServiceNow ecosystem
      • Advanced general knowledge of what might be referred to as the "DevOps toolkit": continuous integration platforms, infrastructure-as-code frameworks, application release automation tools, IaaS and PaaS technologies, etc; experience implementing or adopting Enterprise Continuous Deployment and Integration; source control systems, vulnerability testing, monitoring, deployment and config management; working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent; containers/docker, JMeter, etc.
      • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well in a highly collaborative, team-based environment; strong communication skills and demonstrable ability to clearly communicate ideas and technical concepts
      • Understanding of secure software development principles and practices
      • Understanding of manual and automated testing principles and techniques
      • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
      • Should be a person who has the ability to think on their feet and is able to adapt to technical challenges

    REQUIRED IN OFFICE

    A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

    FLEXIBLE 

    A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

    REMOTE

    A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
